On Friday, January 23, 2026, Marine Parents Travel Assistance sent Wilda, Mother of a recruit, to Parris Island for the recruit's graduation from Hotel Company to become a Marine.

Attending my son’s Marine Corps graduation was one of the most profound and emotional experiences of our lives. Standing there, watching him become a United States Marine, filled us with overwhelming pride, gratitude, and respect for the sacrifice he chose to make. He was not alone. He was surrounded by love and support from his grandparents, parents, brother, and girlfriend. All of us present to honor his discipline, perseverance, and commitment. Seeing him cross that threshold reminded us that this achievement was built on years of effort, resilience, and unwavering determination. This experience strengthened our family bond and reaffirmed the values of service, sacrifice, and honor. We are incredibly proud of the man he has become and deeply grateful for the opportunity to witness such a meaningful milestone in his life. Wilda, New Marine Mom
