Andrea Works in Three Different Facebook Groups
...and is Volunteer of the Year (of course!) in Regions!
Congratulations to Andrea for being selected as our Volunteer of the Year for the Regions Groups. Our Regions Groups include 6 regionally-based groups for members to participate in depending on the state in which they currently reside. Andrea is responsible for our Region 2 Group in support of family members residing in California, Hawaii, Nevada, and Utah. Andrea also works in our San Diego 2nd RTBN Group, and our "What's After Boot" Group, SOI MCT West.
Andrea has been consistent with her volunteering and is striving to learn more and more about MarineParents and the USMC. She is a valuable asset to our Marine loved ones and to our organization.—Nicole Edmundson, Volunteer Manager
Shortly after Andrea's son left for Boot Camp, she found MarineParents while searching for any and all information she could find on the Marines. She felt lost not knowing what the next steps would be in her son's journey. When she joined Marine Parents, she felt a sense of relief knowing she was getting information that she needed and she did not feel alone in how she was feeling emotionally. It truly helped her and continues to help her through this journey. She felt great gratitude towards all of the volunteers, that were dedicating their time to the MarineParents groups and wanted to give back and be supportive and help others along in their journey.
Andrea has been a volunteer since January 2021 and in that short time has made herself indispensable to family members and her volunteer teammates. We appreciate you as a volunteer, Andrea, and your time spent in three groups helping members all across the country.
