Longest Running Employee, Mendy!

After budget cuts, she's staying on as a volunteer!

Mendy has worked at MarineParents.com as custodial staff for 11 years. She's been volunteering here for 12 years. With budget cuts, we had to take Mendy off the payroll. But she's decided that she wants to stay on as a volunteer. Her social worker explained to us that Mendy wanted to keep coming every day and that we are her family Monday through Friday. She's volunteering two hours a day every day of the week now. Thank you Mendy!

Of all the budget cuts we've done, this was absolutely the hardest thing I've ever done. We love Mendy and are so grateful she's able to continue spending time with us as a volunteer.
